The East Stroudsburg Area SD finance committee on Dec. 9 approved a three-year renewal with website vendor Finalsite and authorized the sale of two surplus dental chairs removed after the district's dental-hygienist position ended.
Staff described the renewal as a three-year contract for the district website with an additional creative-services fee to be paid over the first two years. Members discussed migration problems from the previous platform and whether missing content came from user error or the migration process; staff said some missing information was due to items not migrated rather than platform fault.
Separately, staff identified two surplus pieces of dental equipment found by Karen Bukowski: a hydrologic treatment chair (original estimated value $750'$1,000; base rusted, seat torn) and a dental chair (original purchase around $2,800; condition looks better). The committee reviewed Policy 706 (disposal of equipment, supplies and textbooks) and agreed to list the items for sale with the estimated value as a floor. If offers come in below the stated floor, staff will return to the board for direction (possible donation, scrap or disposal).
Votes: The contract renewal, the sale of two chairs and the finance committee's 2026 meeting dates were each moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Next steps: Staff will finalize contractual paperwork with Finalsite, continue correction work on site content as needed, post the two dental chairs for sale on the district's bid/disposition site with photos and the committee's floor values, and return to the board if offers are below the floor.
