At its Dec. 15 meeting the East Stroudsburg Area School District board approved a series of routine governance and financial items. Motions carried by voice vote or recorded ‘‘Aye’’ included adoption of the agenda and approval of the Nov. 17 minutes. The board also approved the policies listed in the agenda packet, authorized listed field trips, and approved intramurals and clubs, including a Dungeons & Dragons student club.
On personnel matters the board approved several employment actions, notices of charges for two employees (employee nos. 11470 and 8464), and the termination of employee no. 11811. Administration noted two abstentions on specific employment items; the board directed that those abstentions be reflected in the meeting minutes.
Financial and operational approvals included the payment of bills and unaudited treasurer’s report for fiscal 2026, approval of CHA invoices and applications for payment related to facilities work, renewal of multiple contracts subject to solicitor and administrative review, and a three-year renewal of a final site contract for 2026–28. A disabled-veterans real-property tax exemption was approved in accordance with district policy.
The board handled the listed motions during the meeting’s business portion and did not attach additional conditions beyond the contingencies the administration noted (for example, final solicitor review on certain contracts and contingent personnel items subject to manifestation determinations).
