The Town of Wayne Select Board on a rescheduled regular meeting approved payroll warrant No. 19 and accounts payable warrant No. 20, acted on two tax adjustments, and then met in executive session on personnel.
Payroll warrant No. 19 for $12,451.02 was moved by a board member and approved unanimously. The board then approved accounts payable warrant No. 20 (packet amount listed as $33,896.22) after town staff noted the warrant includes a road sign contract, three DEP plumbing permits, training and legal items. Both motions passed on voice vote, recorded as 4–0.
Under supplements and abatements the board approved abatement 25‑26‑01 for Monique Mitchell, trustee, in the amount of $3,208.24 after staff said a building had been incorrectly listed on the property. The board also approved supplemental tax record 25/2502 for John Griffin for $2,613.24 to correct building allocation errors. Both motions carried 4–0.
The board then voted to go into executive session for personnel matters citing 1 MRSA section 4056a; members moved into the closed session and later reconvened with no further action taken. The board moved, seconded and voted to adjourn after exiting the executive session.
No proposed ordinances or warrant articles were adopted at the meeting; several policy drafts and items were referred to staff, auditors or committees for follow up.
