At the Dec. 1 meeting the Dawsonville City Council approved multiple routine business items.

Council also approved joining a special called joint meeting with the Dawson County Board of Commissioners scheduled for Jan. 15, 2026. Council members moved and seconded that action and the motion passed.
Toward the end of the meeting the council moved into executive session by motion and vote to discuss opinions or potential litigation, real estate acquisition and personnel matters. The mayor closed the public portion of the meeting and the council proceeded to executive session.
