At the meeting, the board approved Elaine's Tavern (applicant Roberta Elaine Davis Shoffner), Ricky's Lore Libations (Jocelyn Moran), Hackney Petroleum (Tom Deggs, general manager), Western Avenue Shell (Divyansh Kumar Patel) and MAPCO 882 (Bhrig Patel) on the condition that each provide outstanding items such as sales tax registration, a certificate of occupancy, Department of Agriculture approval or surrender of an existing permit where applicable. Mister Byrd, speaking for the business tax office, noted the specific documentation outstanding for each applicant.
The chair asked applicants to come to the podium to state their names and addresses for the record and reminded anyone approved pending final documentation to bring completed paperwork to the business tax office during regular hours; those approved outright could pick up permits at the end of the meeting.
No formal fines or enforcement actions were associated with these approvals; each motion was taken by voice vote and announced as approved pending the listed documentation. The board's clerk, Mister Johnson, also reminded members that the next beer board meeting is scheduled for Dec. 9, 2025.
The approvals were procedural and contingent on submission of the noted documents; the board did not take additional disciplinary or enforcement action related to these items at the Nov. 28 meeting.
