The policy committee voted to forward an amendment to Policy 2335 that would make agenda and supporting materials available to the public as draft documents on the morning of agenda review.
Dr. Barnes told the committee staff already uploads materials to the assembly system and that "those are rough draft documents at that point," cautioning that the public should understand the documents may change during the agenda-review process. Board members discussed staff workload and the need for clear labeling; David Perry asked whether the system could automatically notify board members when agenda materials change.
The committee moved and seconded a proposal to forward the amended policy to the full board; the motion passed by voice vote. The full board will consider the amended wording that clarifies agenda materials posted before a meeting are drafts until the meeting.
