Natrona County School Board elects officers, adopts 2026 meeting schedule and approves major maintenance bids

The Natrona County School District #1 Board of Trustees voted on officer elections, meeting dates and maintenance bids at its meeting.

A motion to retain the current leadership slate — Kevin Kristofferson for chair, Dana Howie for vice chair, Kyla Alvey as treasurer and Michael Stadelli as clerk — was moved and seconded; trustees approved the proposed slate without moving to a second nomination.

The board considered the proposed 2026 calendar of meeting dates. Trustee Christy Hopkins moved to amend the schedule to shift the regular meeting start time to 6:30 p.m. The amendment was debated and failed by a 3‑to‑5 vote. The full calendar was then adopted by a 7‑to‑1 roll call/hand vote.

On routine business, Superintendent Hensley identified four items on the consent agenda — the Nov. 24, 2025 general session minutes, certified and classified personnel reports, district bills dated Nov. 21, 2025, and five bids for major maintenance projects. The board moved to accept the consent agenda and approved it unanimously.

Trustees then voted unanimously to approve the major maintenance bids discussed earlier in the meeting. Facilities updates reviewed construction and renovation items including lighting for the NCHS track and soccer field, gym acoustics, and options for replacing or upgrading the NCHS press box.
