Jenna, chair of the Ashland County Land Information Committee, said the office is under budget for the year. "We budgeted 200,000, 211,000 and only spent a 171," she said, adding that December expenses were not yet posted and that a three-month maternity leave contributed to lower salary spending.

Jenna told the committee the Department of Military Affairs grant has been fully used for the current period and the office is awaiting reimbursement. She also said the WROC ortho-imagery consortium typically returns funds to participants and that Ashland County expects a payment of about $30,000 in 2026, which should provide a cushion for the base budget.

The office reported steady sales of its plat book as a small revenue source. Jenna said most grant awards listed as fully utilized would remain at zero remaining balance and that expected reimbursements or consortium funds would help maintain reserves.
