At the Dec. 2 meeting the North Brookfield Board of Selectmen approved multiple routine but required municipal items and shared community notices.
Speaker 1 presented and the board approved by voice vote the following warrants: payroll warrant #11 for $405,793.29; full warrant #1044 for $181,114.42; general fund warrant #1045 for $622,945.42; and construction projects warrant #1046 for $234,077.26.
Speaker 1 then read a long list of 2026 license renewals (alcohol licenses for multiple establishments, auctioneer renewals, pool table renewals, live entertainment, and motor vehicle dealer classifications). The board moved to approve the 20 26 license renewals as a block; Speaker 3 confirmed insurance certificates are on file for alcohol licenses.
In announcements, the town clerk's office (Speaker 4) described a 'Top Dog' contest and raffle to raise funds for kennel repairs and requested donations Dec. 1'31; contact information was provided. Speaker 4 also reminded residents of a special town meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 6 PM in the North Brookfield High School Kiva Room and emphasized the need for at least 10 attendees to ensure quorum and action.
