Students across Dysart showcase community service and seasonal events

Student leaders from Willow Canyon, Valley Vista, Dysart High and other campuses updated the board Dec. 15 on seasonal events and service projects. Ava Nintgen, a junior and student‑body officer at Willow Canyon High School, described spirit weeks, a Gingerbread Night, the Desert Farm Lights event, participation in the El Mirage Winter Parade and community service such as the annual Shop with a Cop.
Valley Vista reported 12 Days of Holiday Cheer and a Purple Star ceremony recognizing military‑connected students. Schools across the district are scheduling winter dances and other events in January and February.
Board members and administrators thanked students and staff for community engagement and holiday efforts.
