Kent School District discusses updates to curricula, student safety and discipline policies; vote set for Jan. 14

Board members and staff spent the second portion of the special meeting reviewing four policy updates required or informed by recent legislation and administrative guidance, asking staff to refine language and bring the items forward for board action at the Jan. 14 regular meeting.

Policy Coordinator Pam Holly summarized revisions to policy 20‑20 (course design, selection and adoption of instructional materials) to comply with engrossed bills 54‑62 (inclusive learning standards) and 23‑31 (instructional materials requirements).
