The Bayshore Union Free School District Board of Education approved a slate of consent‑agenda items Monday, including personnel appointments and leaves, civil‑service actions, budget transfers, and several contract and policy actions presented by administration.
Motions carried for approval of: Board minutes from recent sessions; professional and civil‑service staff leaves, appointments, salary changes and reinstatements; substitute lists and volunteer approvals for 2025‑26; a one‑year extension of the bid for general building maintenance; acceptance of a roughly $12,000 donation from the Mary G. Clarkson PFA to provide an accessible, sensory‑based bungalow playhouse for a playground; and the declaration of certain computers and equipment as obsolete for disposition.
The board also endorsed Committee on Education and Committee on Preschool Special Education actions for 2025‑26 services and adopted individual home instruction plans as recommended. Administration presented and the board approved policy rescissions and adoptions and first/second amendments to employment agreements for certain administrators, including a second amendment to the superintendent’s employment agreement and a first amendment for the assistant chief for business. Motions were moved, seconded and carried by voice vote on the consent calendar.
Separately, administrators presented a request to approve an overnight robotics trip to the Finger Lakes regional competition in Rochester; board members asked logistical questions and the request was presented for approval as part of routine business.
Next steps: Items approved on the consent calendar will be implemented by the appropriate administrative offices. The board indicated it will continue routine review of policies and personnel matters on the upcoming agenda schedule.
