District communications staff showed the board a mock‑up of a redesigned district website scheduled to go live Jan. 5. Presenters said the design emphasizes accessibility, reduced clutter and easier navigation so parents and community members can find key items in fewer clicks.
Dawn, who leads the website backend, said the platform remains the same but staff have improved their ability to edit and move content. "We updated the logo to include the cupola and added more white space to reduce clutter," a presenter said, adding that news stories will use a visual layout rather than plain text links and the homepage will feature the district mission statement as an anchor.
Board members asked about locating staff emails; administrators directed them to the staff directory in quick links and said the quick links list had been pared to 10–11 high‑use items. Presenters said some building pages and photo rotations require occasional reprogramming but the new layout will present photos and videos more consistently.
The board responded positively and administrators said the site will replace the old layout once launched. No formal vote was required for the presentation.
