Police chief outlines planned purchases from seizure-and-forfeiture fund

The chief characterized the requests as operational safety and equipment replacements and said some items (for example, new antenna assemblies) have longer guarantees than used equipment options. Council did not take final formal action on the presented budget during the meeting; the presentation established the council-required budget submission to enable future expenditures under Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 59.
