At its Nov. 24 meeting the Rockland School Committee approved routine business items including administrator monthly reports, departmental reports, financial statements, two new fundraisers and a homeschool request.
The committee approved the minutes of the Oct. 27 meeting, accepted monthly administrator reports and moved to approve financial reports covering the school department, Rockland High School student activities, Rogers Middle School activities and food services. The committee also approved 14 department monthly reports from athletics, art, computer technology, English, foreign language, math, music, radio/TV, science, social studies and special education.
Fundraising updates: the class of 2028 reported net proceeds of $116 from staff T-shirts and $835 net from raffled yard lines. Other fundraisers reported net amounts including $1,200 and $715 for ongoing sales; the RHS GSA reported $42 net from pumpkin candy-grams. The committee approved two upcoming fundraisers: "Rockland's Got Talent" and a Chipotle night for the class of 2029.
The committee also approved an administrator recommendation to grant a homeschool request. The meeting concluded with routine public service announcements and a motion to adjourn.
