Deputy Administrator Emily Cole Prescott used the Oct. 27 council meeting to outline several city administrative items: curbside leaf collection begins Nov. 10 (residents should place filled paper leaf bags curbside by 7 a.m.; each household limited to 20 bags), leaves may be dropped year‑round for free at the Saco Transfer Station, and the Water Resource Recovery Department was honored with the Maine Water Environment Association's Richard Goodenow Award for operational excellence.
Prescott also announced the hiring of Kyle Mundorf as Assistant City Engineer; Mundorf previously served in Public Works as the GIS Engineering Technician and holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of New Hampshire. Councilor Hatch praised staff networking and recognition, noting the professional benefits these connections bring to the city.
These items were presented for information; no formal vote was required.
