The Navasota City Council approved an updated employee handbook and an updated travel policy during the December meeting.
Council approved Resolution 814-25 adopting the revised employee handbook effective Jan. 1, 2026. A subsequent resolution (815-25) updated the city's travel policy. Staff said the updates had been presented in the workshop and that the effective dates allow time to notify employees and incorporate the changes into administrative practice.
Both measures were approved by voice vote with no recorded roll-call in the transcript. Staff invited any additional questions from employees and council members after the workshop presentation.
