At a glance: Milton council approves agenda, consent items and adjourns to executive session

On Dec. 1 the Milton City Council unanimously approved the amended meeting agenda and the consent agenda (including minutes, a Polco/Policy Confluence agreement, GDOT recertification items and a minor subdivision plat) and then voted unanimously to move into executive session on land acquisition, personnel and litigation.
The Milton City Council took three formal votes during the Dec. 1 meeting:
• Approval of the meeting agenda as amended: Councilor Cookerling moved to approve the agenda (the mayor stated the motion came from Councilor Cookerling with a second from Councilor Johnson); the mayor called for a show of hands and the motion passed unanimously.
• Consent agenda approval: The consent agenda — including approval of Nov. 17, 2025 meeting minutes; an agreement and addendum with Policy Confluence Inc. (Polco) for the national community survey; a set of Georgia Department of Transportation local administered project recertification items; a Title VI nondiscrimination agreement; and approval of a minor subdivision plat for property on New Bullpen Road — was moved and seconded and approved unanimously.
• Motion to adjourn into executive session: Councilman Haney moved (second cited by the mayor) to adjourn to executive session to discuss land acquisition, personnel and litigation; the motion carried unanimously.
No roll‑call tallies with individual yes/no votes were recorded in the public transcript; the mayor recorded each motion as passing unanimously by voice/show‑of‑hands vote.
