The Cache County School District Board voted unanimously Thursday to approve the 202627 school calendar and to adopt the districts final financial audit for fiscal year 2025.
Board members first approved the consent agenda by an electronic vote; the motion "passed unanimously," the meeting record shows. The board then took up the calendar, moved and seconded the recommended 202627 schedule as presented previously, and approved it in an electronic vote. Later in the agenda the board moved, seconded and adopted the districts final federal audit (the single-audit federal component delayed earlier by a federal government shutdown). That motion also passed by electronic vote with no recorded dissent.
The motions were presented and seconded from the dais; the minutes-style transcript reports only that each motion "passes unanimously" without a detailed roll-call for the electronic votes. Business Administrator Jared Black later briefed the board on several ongoing state audits and said the district will update its policy on time-and-effort reporting to meet new Title-related requirements.
After completing its business, the board moved into a closed, executive session to discuss the purchase, exchange or lease of real property. The motion to enter the closed session was made, seconded and approved by individual voice votes; multiple board members answered "Yes" when called.
No public input was registered for the meeting agenda, and the board adjourned the regular session before convening the closed meeting.
