Jasper City Council approves liquor licenses for Cabo San Lucas and Tammy’s Fine Wine & Spirits

Jasper City Council on Dec. 2 unanimously approved two retail liquor-license applications after the police department reported no violations during its investigations.
Lieutenant Jeremy Lay told the council the first application was from Cabo San Lucas, which is relocating to 4330 Highway 78 East and applied for a restaurant retail liquor license for on-premise consumption. "During our investigation, we've found no violations of state law or city ordinance, and the city does not object to this application," Lay said.
Lay also reported that Tammy's Fine Wine and Spirits has applied for a lounge retail liquor package license for off-premise consumption at 1810 Alabama Avenue (the former Ron's Bonds building). The police department likewise found no violations and had no objections.
The council opened each item as a public hearing, heard no public comments, and then voted to approve both licenses by voice vote.
