The Lake Forest City Council approved a 12-item omnibus package on Dec. 1 covering routine minutes, financial approvals and a set of contracts and ordinances.

Notable approvals included: an award of a 2026 GIS services contract to MGP Incorporated (not to exceed $131,505 plus $2,299 plotting costs; total $133,804); a three-year Adobe Acrobat licensing renewal for $29,259; and authorization to waive the bid process and award water-main testing for the Waukegan and Wesley intersection to the RJN Group in the amount of $49,834 with a 10% contingency ($4,983) for a total authorized amount of $54,817. The omnibus also included abatement ordinances and several planning/zoning items set for first reading or final approval per the agenda.

City staff previously described the water-main testing as a critical analysis to inform whether the intersection improvement project should proceed on schedule or be paused to incorporate water-main replacement; council approved the omnibus package by roll call, 8–0.

Staff said they will return with further details if additional approvals or schedule changes are needed.
