Students present community service project; board honors long‑serving educators

Student representatives and school leaders took the Nov. 20 board meeting stage to highlight school activities and service initiatives.
Peyton Manfry, an eighth‑grader from Haverford Middle School, told the board that quarter grades will be posted next week, students will hold student‑led conferences, and winter sports tryouts have started. "Quarter grades will be posted next week, and students will be participating in student led conferences," Manfry said.
At Linwood Elementary, students outlined the Linwood Lions' Make a Lunch program. "We make lunches for 60 people each week," student Eleanor Guduti said, describing how volunteers help collect donations, assemble meals and deliver them to the Life Center of Delaware County. Staff and volunteer coordinators named in the presentation included Principal Jillian McGilvray, assistant principal Jen Menacher, Allison Feinberg, Melissa Gudutti and Julie and Joe Brady.
The board also recognized a group of employees who have reached 25 years of service and read a list of honorees. Superintendent remarks noted the PATH program, student advisory work and recent meet‑and‑greets with the superintendent.
No policy change or vote was tied directly to the student presentations; the items were informational and celebratory in nature.
