At its Nov. 24 legislative meeting, the Upper Dublin School District Board of School Directors approved a series of committee recommendations and routine motions by voice vote.

Minutes: A motion to approve minutes from the Oct. 13 special legislative meeting and the Oct. 27 legislative meeting was made (mover: Mister Sirota) and seconded (Miss Sherpier); the board approved the minutes by voice vote.

Education committee: Miss Sherpier moved that the board approve three education committee items discussed at committee, including an ELA curriculum pilot. Administrative staff explained the pilot: grades K–5 will pilot Amplify's CKLA and EL Education's Kiddom (Kiddom carries costs for facilitation), while middle school will pilot Amplify and CommonLit. The motion was seconded by Mister Held and approved by voice vote.

Finance committee: Mister Sirota moved to approve finance items 6a–f. The motion was seconded; discussion noted that item d is an opt-out resolution related to the budget and that item e is a donation from Acme Markets. The board approved the finance items by voice vote.

Personnel committee: Miss Redding moved personnel committee recommendations, which included the personnel report and appointment of an interim director of student services; Miss Iannitti seconded. The board approved the personnel recommendations by voice vote. The administration earlier identified Dr. Mary Kay Feeley as the interim director the district will bring back to serve in that role.

Policy committee: Committee second readings were offered and a motion made to approve them; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.

Executive-session disclosure: The board's solicitor, Mister D'Azio, disclosed the board met in executive session earlier to discuss two personnel matters, one of which related to items on the personnel agenda and the other to hiring for the director of student services position.

None of the recorded motions included a roll-call vote; all approvals were by voice vote during the meeting.
