The Sweetwater County Board of County Commissioners voted Dec. 2 to transfer $3,000 within the capital facilities budget to pay for an increased cost of a custodial floor cleaner.
Accounting specialist Rebecca Romero told the commission the amendment "moves 3,000 from the facilities van project into the custodial cleaner project" because the public works director had noted the cleaner cost rose since the original estimate and the van project had unspent funds to cover the shortfall. Commissioner Toman moved to approve Resolution 25-12-CL-01 and Commissioner Richards seconded; the commission approved the transfer unanimously.
Romero said the transfer would cover the increased cost "without affecting the county reserves." No public speakers addressed the amendment during the hearing.
