The Upper Dublin School District held its December 2025 reorganization meeting, swearing in newly elected board members and electing officers to lead the board for the coming year. Jeff Wallach was elected board president by voice vote after being nominated from the floor; he told the board that “as board president, you have no greater power than any other board member.”

The board opened nominations and confirmed officers in a series of voice votes. Miss Redding was selected earlier in the meeting as temporary board president to preside over reorganizational steps. When nominations for board president opened, Jeff Wallach was nominated and, after a motion to close nominations, was approved. Mark Sirota was nominated and elected vice president, and Brooke Evans was nominated and elected assistant secretary; each election was decided by voice vote with no roll-call tallies provided in the meeting transcript.

The board also filled seats for external bodies and internal committees. Wendy Bailey was nominated and approved as the district’s representative to the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) board. Doctor Joe Berto was nominated and approved as the district’s representative to the Eastern Center. President Wallach announced committee memberships for the year: Policy Committee (chair Jenna Evans, vice chair Alima Redding, members John Held and Kenya Lo); Education Committee (chair John Held, vice chair Doctor Marybeth Thomas, members Doctor Joe Berto and Wendy Bailey); Finance Committee (chair Mark Sirota, vice chair Jenna Evans, members Doctor Thomas and Wallach). Wallach also noted that the personnel committee (not a public meeting) will be chaired by Miss Redding with Doctor Berto as vice chair.

There were two opportunities for public participation (one limited to election-of-officers agenda items and a second general period); no members of the public spoke at either opportunity and no written comments were received in advance. The meeting concluded with Wallach thanking attendees and announcing that committee meetings (policy and finance) are scheduled for next Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Cardinal Room. The reorganization meeting was then adjourned.

Actions taken at the meeting were procedural and internal: multiple officer elections and committee and representative appointments. No policy measures, ordinances, or budget votes were held at this session.
