During the meeting, City Engineer Beau Perry presented an annexation of two tracts totaling 133.647 acres and 40.6336363 acres (about 174.01 acres) that the council approved to create a planned development district. The council then voted to assign the newly annexed land to a city ward (initially reported as Ward 2) and later, after executive session, approved an additional ward assignment (reported as Ward 3) connected to post–executive-session actions.
