Other councilmembers said they wanted clearer information from the applicant about whether late‑night activity would be primarily deliveries, who would be responsible for after‑hours response and how enforcement would work.
The council voted to continue the application so staff could collect more detail on the operator’s intended hours, delivery logistics and any enforcement plan. The item will return to the council agenda on Jan. 13, 2026. No formal motion to approve operating‑hour limits or conditions was adopted at the meeting.
The continuance preserves the applicant’s ability to return for rehearing; staff said if the request is denied, the applicant cannot reapply for one year. Councilmembers who voiced support for the continuance said they wanted time to consult neighborhood civic leadership and confirm the listed local responder and operator contact information.
