The plan also lists support for lifting Minnesota’s nuclear moratorium and for activities that would attract and support data center development in the county as part of a broader energy-transition and economic-growth strategy.
On housing, staff said the county completed a housing study and created a housing trust fund; those items were updated in the plan to reflect progress. EDA staff described a marketing push to attract business investment and new residents, including an economic development website (sherburnebiz.com) and billboard campaigns targeted at Twin Cities metro markets.
Commissioners praised the work and approved the plan by voice/roll-call vote.
