Lebanon council approves consent agenda, park renovation contracts and multiple first readings

The Lebanon City Council approved a multi-item consent agenda and a series of first- and second-reading measures at its year-end meeting, taking routine actions on parks, budgets, utilities and a litigation settlement.

On the consent agenda the council authorized the second reading approval for Northwest Quadrant Park renovation (Order No. 257320), approved budget rollovers for the Square Improvements Project, budget amendments for replacement vehicles for the meter-read department, and approved contract addendum No. 4 for gas system rehabilitation with James and Bush Construction Inc. A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded; the items passed by voice vote.

In old-business action, the council approved a second reading to amend the City of Lebanon official design atlas (Order No. 257317) to change an area of Southeast Taylor Mill Road from rural residential agricultural to light industrial in Ward 3 at the request of the applicant. The council also approved the first reading to accept a consent decree in Tennessee Riverkeeper, Inc. v. City of Lebanon (U.S. District Court No. 323 cv 01369) and approved a resolution to advertise bids for 2026 paving and striping projects.
