The committee approved the village’s 10-year road program and specifically authorized the 2026 paving program along with predesign work for 2027.
Staff emphasized approving the next two years now to provide sufficient time for planning and to reduce change orders and cost overruns. Two primary '26 projects were identified (Esquire Estates and Heritage Hills) and staff noted possible ARIP and LRIP grant funding that could shift projects between years.
Committee members discussed coordinating paving with private development, sewer relays and utility work to avoid rework; staff said coordination with grant-funded projects (including a possible ARIP submission for Pioneer Road) could change the schedule. The paving program was moved off the consent agenda to new business for village board review; the motion passed unanimously.
