Germantown hires MSA for bridge investigations after storm damage and inspection findings

The Maple Road structure had critical findings in the county inspection and is slated for capital funding in 2027. Staff said the $59,170 request covers investigations and preparing plans/specs, with estimated repair costs to be developed afterward (staff cited preliminary estimates: ~$275,000 for Maple Road and ~$70,000 for Division Road as very preliminary figures).
Committee members discussed bid disparities and complexities of in-water repair work; staff said MSA was the low proposer and the firm’s hours are believed sufficient for investigation and design. The motion passed unanimously.
