The Village Board approved minor amendments to the Sutton Farm Planned Development district and the preliminary subdivision plat to shift an access point roughly 200 feet north following discussions with Washington County about site distance. Staff and the plan commission characterized the amendment as minor because it does not materially change density, unit counts or the overall character of the development approved earlier.
Trustees asked about examples of major versus minor changes and about the timing of the developer’s agreement; staff said the development agreement is prepared after final design and will return to the board for approval. A resident who lives off the impacted roadway spoke in support of the roadway shift at the plan commission; trustees noted that the change also addressed headlight concerns for nearby homes.
The board voted to approve the minor amendment as presented.
