Moreno Valley Mayor announces new museum and art space at Moreno Valley Mall

Moreno Valley Mayor Ulysses Cabrera announced a new cultural project on the site of the Moreno Valley Mall on Monday, unveiling plans for the Moreno Valley Museum and Art Space and saying the venue will open in 2026. The mayor described the project as an "immersive" experience that combines curated exhibits, retail space and a modern café.

"The new Moreno Valley Museum and Art Space will be the next chapter in immersive entertainment and is designed to be a place where innovation meets inspiration," Mayor Ulysses Cabrera said. He said the project is "brought to you by the city of Moreno Valley and Lighthouse Immersive."

Cabrera listed the features residents can expect, saying the site will offer curated exhibits, retail therapy and a café and that it will provide a place for residents to "celebrate Moreno Valley's rich history, witness its evolution, and step into our community's future." He provided the only firm timeline in the announcement, saying the "groundbreaking experience opens in 2026."

The mayor framed the project as a boost for the local arts community, saying, "We're taking Mobile's art community to the next level with an exciting project currently under construction at the Moreno Valley Mall."
