The city manager and staff referenced a recent study session and said that if the related MVU items (I‑17 and I‑18) were approved, customers would see an average 26% rate decrease. Staff pointed the public to the study session video and materials on the city website for details.
During consent public comment, Felicia Martin (Jimmy’s Smokey Barbecue) requested city intervention to obtain fire clearance from a shopping‑center owner; staff committed to follow up immediately.
