The Kelby board held elections for its officer positions and approved a slate to lead the board in the coming year.
Members discussed eligibility (active board members only) and invited self-nominations for several positions, including parliamentarian, vice president, secretary and treasurer. After ballots and discussion, the group announced results; the transcript records "JJ won" in the counting and multiple nominations and approvals for other positions. Monica Cavazos accepted a nomination for a leadership role and Gilbert Baez was nominated for an officer position.
After the tabulation, a motion to approve the elected officers was made and seconded. "We have our officers," a member said after votes were tallied, and the motion to approve the slate was moved forward during the meeting.
Next steps: the board will formally record the new officers in board minutes and submit the slate for any external approval required by its bylaws or municipal registry.
