Trustees hear update on ninth/tenth-grade campus, $3.8M furniture purchase and donated mural

"You're gonna look at about a $3,800,000 investment for furniture," Presenter (S3) said.
Athletics staff (S6) requested approval for a donated mural to improve the appearance of an athletic building; S6 said the donor, Michael Brennan of National Consolidated Interiors, will cover costs and does not want his name on the piece. Administration reminded trustees that donations valued over $10,000 require board approval and a design review process.
Next steps: administration will continue permitting and turn-lane coordination with Harris County and CenterPoint, stage furniture delivery as scheduled, and present the mural donation design and any related approvals to the board.
