SHELDON, Texas — The Sheldon ISD Board of Trustees adopted resolutions honoring two district employees who recently died and invited family members to attend the meeting and receive the board’s condolences.
The board read a resolution mourning the death of Miss Trevino, described in the resolution as a special education paraprofessional at Sheldon Early Childhood Academy whose service began in September 2025. Trustees resolved to send a copy of the resolution to the family and to record it in the meeting minutes.
A family member addressed the board: "From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Sheldon ISD, the school board, Doctor McCall, and Miss Salinas for presenting a resolution in memory of our beloved Rachel at tonight's board meeting," the family member said, thanking staff and describing gestures that have brought the family comfort.
The board also adopted a resolution honoring Miss Johnson, identified in the resolution as a diagnostician at Sheldon ISD since July 2022. Trustees directed that a copy of that resolution be sent to her family and recorded in the minutes.
Both resolutions were read and adopted during the celebrations portion of the meeting; family members were recognized and offered remarks.
