Planning commission approves minutes, consent items and 2026 calendar; moves roadway easement case to regular agenda

At the start of the Gotssell Planning Commission public hearing, commissioners approved the Oct. 22 minutes by roll-call vote and adopted several consent-agenda items.
Commissioners discussed the consent agenda and agreed to move item 3 to the regular agenda for fuller consideration. After procedural clarifications about reading item language and excluding the moved item, a commissioner moved and the commission seconded approval of the remaining consent agenda items (2, 4, 5 and 6) along with the 2026 planning commission regular meeting calendar. The motion passed by roll call with recorded yes votes from Chair Scarborough, Vice Chair Young and all commissioners present.
Administrative staff noted this was the only December meeting and reminded commissioners the next meetings are anticipated for Jan. 14 and Jan. 28. Commissioner Drake attended telephonically, per the administrative report.
The commission then moved to the regular agenda for the roadway abandonment request at 7617 East Thunderbird (case 6AB2025).
