The Planning and Zoning Commission approved the City of Pflugerville’s 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), which documents use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and progress against consolidated-plan goals.
Kristen, the staff presenter, summarized accomplishments for program year 2024: continued design work on Parkway Drive, completed streetlight infrastructure in the Edgemere and Windermere subdivisions pending conduit installation by the contractor Encore, and scholarships for youth and seniors (19 participants this year); workforce training support for six residents was funded along with transportation support for trainees. “Total this year, we expended $304,316 toward CDBG dollars towards programs and projects that help the low to moderate income residents center, within our city,” Kristen said.
The commission approved the item and staff said they will send the CAPER to HUD by the end of the month to meet federal deadlines and will present a recommendation to City Council.
