Lufkin council confirms multiple board and commission appointments

The Lufkin City Council approved multiple appointments to city boards, committees and commissions during its regular meeting.
By voice vote the council appointed Carrie Fauble, Hall Henderson, Mark Hicks and Jeff Todd to the Lufkin Economic Development Corporation board. The council confirmed Assel Perez to the Civil Service Commission and named Danny Hayes, Fidel Masias and Ryan Moore to the Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals. Angela Spencer was selected to fill the council member slot on the hotel occupancy tax (HOTT) board vacated with Brett Watkins’ departure. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board appointments included Audubon Connor, Jim Don Smith and Sydney Bennett. Planning & Zoning slots were filled by Jack Ellis, Kevin Cole and Monica Peters Clark. The council also confirmed Andrew Moore, Eddie Aguilar and Kennedy Boyd as regular members of the Zoning Board of Adjustment and Appeals and approved Kimberly Williams Rogers as an alternate.
Council discussion included confirming there is a process for any council member to place future agenda items to change board assignments. Each appointment motion was made and seconded on the record and approved by voice vote; the meeting minutes reflect the motions carrying but do not list roll-call tallies in the public portion.
