Cheshire School District board unanimously elects Rosenberg chair; Harrigan, White also chosen

At its organizational meeting, the Cheshire School District Board of Education conducted roll call, cited board policy 9120 on officer elections and unanimously elected Samantha Rosenberg as chair, Anne Harrigan as vice chair and Tim White as secretary.

The officers' terms of office shall be 2 years." The board then moved to conduct the required officer elections.

During nominations for chair, Miss Cohen said, "It is my honor to place the name of missus Samantha Rosenberg into a nomination for board Chairperson." After a second and a final call for nominations, written ballots were distributed. The presiding speaker read repeated ballot entries naming Samantha/Sam Rosenberg and then announced, "Congratulations, miss Rosenberg," indicating Rosenberg had been elected chair.

The board next called for nominations for vice chair. A member nominated Doctor Anne Harrigan; written ballots listed Anne Harrigan repeatedly and the board announced the vice chair vote was unanimous.

For secretary, a member nominated Tim White and written ballots returned Tim White on each ballot; the board announced Tim White as elected secretary.

Following the officer elections, a motion to adjourn the organizational meeting was made, seconded and approved unanimously.
