Paso Robles councilmembers on Dec. 2 approved the consent calendar (items 1–14) by a unanimous vote.
City staff summarized the consent packet, which included minutes, advisory‑board minutes, treasurer reports, and several contract and amendment approvals. The warrant register covered $1.5 million in payments issued since the last meeting; four line items exceeded $100,000: a reimbursement of $292,161.46 to Arrive Paso LLC, a $143,740.71 PG&E payment for water-utility September utilities, and two tourism-district pass-through payments of $117,653.77 (Visit SLO/Visit SLOCal) and $156,036.30 (Bridal Paso).
Item 8 – a proposed two‑year extension with Los Angeles Christmas Light Installers for the downtown park holiday lighting display — drew public support from Main Street and Travel Paso leaders, who praised the event’s tourism and local‑business benefits; staff said an aggressive sponsorship push has raised roughly $10,000 so far and that the city can program the expense in future budgets if council approves.
Councilmember Tim Gregory moved approval of items 1–14; Councilmember Fred Strong seconded. The council voted Aye (Gregory, Strong, Bausch, Beal and Mayor Hammond) and the motion passed unanimously.
During the consent discussion, staff and council also discussed the Golden Hill Tank recoating: crews inspect tanks every 3–5 years and full interior/exterior recoating typically occurs about every 10 years; the tank was noted to be from the 1970s with an approximate 4,000,000‑gallon capacity.
