VAC reports holiday giving, training and benefit gains

Krista said VAC staff are pursuing Certified Veterans Advocate (CVA) training, described collaborative work with neighboring counties and nonprofits on veteran crisis response (Project Headspace) and reported year‑to‑date revenue of $10,774,000 in newly recorded benefits (the presenter said those figures represent brand‑new benefits, not recaptured or service‑connected amounts). She also said the VAC has helped secure roughly $43,000,500 in benefits for veterans and families since 2017.
The board accepted Krista’s interim report and approved VAC bills during the meeting.
