Marshall County Museum reports visitor growth, volunteer hours and new exhibits

The Marshall County Museum reported higher visitor counts and volunteer engagement during a Dec. 15 commissioners meeting presentation.
Museum Director Sandy Garrison said the museum's visitor total rose from roughly 5,000 to above 7,000 as of Nov. 30, and that volunteer support exceeded 4,000 hours this quarter. She highlighted new local-history publications (including prehistoric Marshall County) and noted the museum hosted the national American Revolution Experience traveling exhibit.
Mike Miley, president of the Marshall County Historical Society, thanked the board for supporting staff training and recounted collaborative efforts that resolved an insurance oversight to allow the traveling exhibit to proceed. The museum previewed upcoming exhibits and publications, including a planned display on the county's aviation history.
Commissioners thanked staff for their work and accepted the quarterly report.
