Council unanimously renames Windsor Meadows Park to honor Tibby DeGiulio

The Sandy Springs City Council on Dec. 16 unanimously approved a resolution to rename Windsor Meadows Park to "Tibby DeGiulio Park at Windsor Meadows" in recognition of Councilmember Tibby DeGiulio’s role in the city’s incorporation and his two decades of service.
Mayor Rusty Paul read the resolution and praised DeGiulio’s leadership dating to the incorporation effort; multiple public commenters and councilmembers offered tributes during the public comment and presentations portions of the meeting. Councilmember John Paulson spoke in support, and the council approved the resolution with a motion and second on the floor.
The resolution directs the city manager’s designee to take steps to update park signage, maps and official records and the city will schedule an official dedication ceremony in January.
