Shelton council adopts multiple resolutions, awards reclaimed-water contract

Shelton City Council on Dec. 2 approved a series of resolutions advancing the city’s budget, contracts and capital projects and awarded a construction contract for a reclaimed water tank.
The council adopted Resolution 1415-1025 to award the reclaimed water tank contract to Roblin’s/Robins (contract 25-005-LP) after staff reported a qualifying bid of $2,663,076.82, about $82,667.88 under the engineer’s estimate. Assistant public works director Grant Armstrong said the city must bridge an estimated $295,671 gap using reallocated supplemental funds and potential matching grants.
Council also adopted or forwarded several other items: Resolution 1414-1025 (on-call A/E consultant pool work order for surface and stormwater updates), Resolution 1406-1025 (public utility and access easement), Resolution 1408-1025 (2026 master fee schedule reconciliation that re-inserts previously adopted fire fees), Resolution 1412-1025 (two-year indigent-defense contract with Sound Defenders PLLC), and Resolution 1418-1125 (contract-extension amendment with SCJ Alliance for the comprehensive-plan update). The council placed Resolution 1417-1125 (Shelton Employees Guild labor agreement) and parks advisory committee appointments on the Dec. 16 action agenda for further consideration.
The council voted to reappoint Judge Steven Greer to a four-year term for Shelton Municipal Court under Resolution 1411-1025.
