Lakeville — The Lakeville Conservation Commission ratified a cease‑and‑desist order Dec. 16 for work at 19 Shore Avenue after staff found a trench, gravel and damage to the lawn adjacent to a pond side well.
Agent Mark Minton said the bobcat and heavy equipment had been removed and that crews had installed straw wattles and fencing to limit sediment transport. He recommended the homeowners file a Notice of Intent after the fact if the work requires post‑hoc review; commissioners agreed to ratify the Cease‑and‑Desist and to follow up with certified mail to the out‑of‑state owners.
"We could ratify the cease and desist," Nancy Yates said; John LeBlanc moved to ratify and the commission voted to do so. Staff will attempt to contact the owners at the address listed on the assessor’s records and will pull prior NOI/plan files related to a well to inform the next meeting action on Jan. 13.
