The City of Denison City Council took several routine and formal actions during its Dec. 15 meeting.
Consent agenda: Council moved, seconded and approved the consent agenda by unanimous voice vote.
CDBG CAPER: Staff presented the 2024–25 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Presenter reported the city was allotted $266,630 in federal funds for the 2024 program year, total reported expenditures of $319,705.03 and an anticipated rollover balance of about $14,000. Staff recommended approval; Mayor Pro Tem Adams moved to approve, the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
Executive session personnel action: Council adjourned into executive session citing Texas open‑meetings provisions. After returning, the mayor announced that no action had been taken on executive-session items 1–3, and that the annual reviews for the municipal court presiding judge and alternate judge had been considered and approved.
