The City of Coral Gables Historic Preservation Board unanimously approved local landmark designation for 513 Navarre Avenue (Section B) after a staff presentation describing the house as a 1924 Mission Revival residence that contributes to the city's early planned character.

Staff historic preservation coordinator Elizabeth Keoughlin summarized the research and photographs supporting the recommendation, noting the house’s stuccoed masonry, characteristic mission parapets, the original porch and a small historic garage that appears in aerial photos dating to 1938. Keoughlin concluded that the house "exemplifies a Spanish‑inspired building archetype upon which Coral Gables was founded."

Board members voted to adopt the staff report and designate the property; the motion passed unanimously on roll call. The designation was recorded as a local historic landmark and staff said the property will be added to the city register.
