Staff also outlined plans to replace aging interior fiber optic cabling and upgrade security cameras, including weapons‑detection enhancements, with bidding targeted for January–February.
Board members asked questions about timing to reduce disruption (for example scheduling high‑school parking lot work in spring) and were briefed that scheduling decisions will aim to minimize impacts during the school year; several trustees emphasized the need to complete the punch‑list items before final contractor payment.
